New Work at Sydney Contemporary Art Fair 2026.

Clifford How has work included in Arthouse Gallery’s presentation at this year’s Sydney Contemporary Art Fair.

The gallery will showcase work by several of it’s artists who took part in residencies at Fowlers Gap Research Station in 2024 and 2026.

How completed plein air colour studies at the residency to prepare for larger works which were created in his Tasmanian studio. He will show 13 new works looking at the fragile and destructive nature of water in and around the arid landscape of Fowlers Gap.

The strength of light in central Australia in comparison to How’s home state of Tasmania is central to this body of work, and informed his response to light and form.
